When we take stock of our present condition and consider where we started off so many years ago, how many of us see God’s guiding hand shaping our lives. All those years of trials and sacrifice were purposeful - meant to get us to a destination. But we haven’t reached that destination just yet.
Many are called, but few remain in the faith. New believers have unique experiences that lead them to faith in Jesus Christ. What can we do keep them on the path?
Faith is the essential ingredient in our relationship with God. If this is true, then our primary effort should be focused on developing and protecting it.
The universe is a BIG place and we are so very small in comparison. Yet, God has important plans for us, IF we trust Him enough to follow His directions.
Do the adversities we face happen by chance or does God have a hand in all our affairs? Does God use any circumstance to accomplish His will? If so, do the trials we endure bring us closer to Him?
The possibilities for offense are endless. More so, in the House of God, where the expectations of Christ-like behavior hold us to a high standard. Our own hurt feelings should not be the guide of our decisions and judgments.
Life is never easy. Sometimes we face circumstances where our only choices are to violate a core value or let innocent people suffer. It can feel like God is putting us in a “no win” scenario. Perhaps by striving to find the right answer, God is shaping our hearts to understand Him better.
